Workshop 2: Co-developing an Action Plan to Address Inconsistent Views about the Importance of IDEA in Canada’s Life Sciences Sector

Format: Virtual

Objective: To align on an action plan to address the issue of inconsistent views about the importance of IDEA to Canada’s life sciences sector and to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in their continued efforts to prioritize IDEA.

Description: This workshop will convene leaders and key stakeholders from organizations of all sizes to discuss IDEA-related issues relevant to SMEs.

The outputs of the workshop will inform an action plan that will guide sector stakeholders to help build a common understanding among SMEs about the importance of embedding IDEA into their organizations. The action plan will be informed by the specific needs of SMEs with respect to IDEA and business goals, and highlight opportunities for sector stakeholders (e.g. government, funders, larger organizations, capacity builders) to contribute to field-wide efforts to support SMEs with IDEA.
